It looks, runs, and drives great. Again, this is a manufactured replica with major parts by vintage speed and not simply a kit applied over another cars inner workings. The car is also outfitted with all authentic porsche badging and every detail has been meticulously paid attention to. There is a high quality full convertible top including side curtains, matching boot cover, matching full and quarter tonneau covers. The boot is secured with fully functioning leather straps to give it a very authentic and unique look. She sits on a custom 2x4 10 gauge box tube frame that has been professionally attached to a shortened type i vw chassis (the proper way to do it) with 6062 grade aluminum plate flooring complete with steel reinforcement. An adjustable front beam with irs rear suspension and oem german sway bar make the car handle like it is on rails. The interior is in perfect condition with new carpet, vintage speedster slotted back seats covered in medium brown to match the dash with adjustable sliders. I am 6'2" and actually have to move the seat forward to drive comfortably! There us also a small rear seat for kiddos or extra storage. The 1641cc motor has been completely built out including a 3/4 grind cam, weber carburetor, k&n air filter, bosch 009 mechanical advance distributor, pertonix ignition module and coupled to a re-manufactured r&p 4-speed transmission with 3:88 gears.
