This is a very well-kept, one-owner challenger r/t classic with only 9,700 miles on the vehicle. Dodge only made 215 of these cars in plum crazy purple with the 6-speed tremec manual transmission and dual white stripes for this model year. We have every document, including the build sheet, window sticker, maintenance records and verification letters from chrysler, etc. That will go with the car. The car is powered by a 5. 7 liter hemi v-8 hemi engine that produces 375 horsepower with hefty-shifting tremec six-speed manual going to a 3. 73 gear ratio. In sixth gear, the r/t cruises with 1800 rpm at 80 mph. The car is painted in gorgeous plum crazy purple with white r/t striping. The very wide horizontal grilles, spoilers, and tail lamps highlight the width of the car. The proportions look right, from the carrier-deck expanse of the flat hood to the foot-high side glass and dark lower body trim, flowing into the massive rear roof pillars. It has standard halogen headlamps for illuminating the road. The available hood scoops carry hemi badges and they feed cool air in or warm air vents to the atmosphere, but they do not feed cold air straight into the engine. The ducts in the spoiler direct cooling air to the front brakes and small winglets at the front wheel openings to better refine airflow. It has fixed side rear windows with frameless doors. A bright fuel filler cap on the side really stands out as do the retro door handles. At the rear end sits a full-width panel of red lights with a pair of backup lights wedged in the middle, along with chrome dodge lettering in a font right out of the 1970s. It sits on 20" dodge 5-spoke wheels and like-new firestone rubber. The interior is fully loaded, including a power sunroof, locks, seats, doors and windows along with illuminated cup holders that help in navigating the interior of the car at night. To preserve the concealed feeling, the headliner and almost everything is dark. The gauges include fuel on the left, a tachometer, a speedometer, and numbered coolant temperature. All of the gauges are light-faced with dark numbers, and at night, they have blue-green illumination that matches the various digital displays. The rear seat feels quite comfortable and more spacious than most would expect from the car. Bluetooth with navigation. The exterior is done in red with the proper black stripes, black spoiler painted in flat black and all of the emblems removed except the original 440 6-pack emblems on the hood. The car sits on new 17-inch retro wheels with bf goodrich high performance tires. This gorgeous charger r/t is a true r/t from the factory, featuring a 440ci v-8 engine and automatic 727, 3-speed transmission. The r/t housed the magnum engine and came with front bucket seats, center console, am/fm radio heavy-duty power brakes, power steering and the r/t handling package. This r/t has the original sheet metal with r/t hood/striping, orange and black paint, dash, door panels, carpet, black vinyl interior, full factory gauges, chrome wheels with bf goodrich radial t/a’s (255/60/15 rear & 225/60/15 rear), owner’s manual, the original cassette recorder/dictaphone and the 1971 license plate that came with the car. It has only 47k documented miles and has been in washington state its entire life avoiding all rust and corrosion. According to historical documents (as of 2004 when done), this 1971 dodge charger r/t is 1 of only 144 nationwide and 1 of 5 left in washington state. The only major non-stock addition to the car is a large aluminum radiator and stainless steel coolant hoses to avoid overheating that was common with the big block engines of this era. However, the original radiator is here at the shop and will go with the car. All mopars have been rapidly increasing in price in recent years and that trend shows no sign of slowing down.
