Here it is…a rare find especially in this kind of condition. This ’66 satellite has been recently restored and is fast, fast, fast! The car is powered by a 383 mopar wedge engine with slightly oversized cam and an edelbrock 4-barrel carburetor flowing into a 3-speed torqueflite transmission that shifts flawlessly. I can’t say enough on how strong this drive train is and how fast the car is. Runs as well at idle as it does at 5,000 rpm. Dual set-up screaming through a set of flowmasters. It literally has the perfect muscle car sound…not too loud but just enough to get everyone’s attention. The flame etched air cleaner, matching red/chrome mopar performance valve covers and wiring make the engine bay look as spectacular as the body of the car. The car also has a new alternator, belts, electronic ignition and reconditioned gas tank which have all been installed recently. The exterior just received an excellent red paint job that looks perfect set against the period correct cragars. All of the glass and chrome are in great condition. The carpet is reproduction matched to the original color and in like new condition as well. Don’t let this one slip by! Tachometer
It will be shown through the shop this summer and at a few shows before going up for auction at monterey later this summer. All mopars were up again at both the recent mecum and barrett jackson auctions and are expected to continue to rise. The new price is reflective of what we expect to get at auction less the seller’s fee. This is one of the finest mopars we have ever had in the shop…period. From a rareness standpoint, it is off the radar special and we have been unable to find one just like it anywhere. The car has been galen govier document certified and registered. All of the original paperwork including the broadcast sheet are in great condition and also go with the car. This is a fully documented (with pictures) frame-off restoration on an all numbers matching ’69 gtx with a rare set of options. While there are a lot of bucket seat, 4-speed roadrunners and belvederes (which this was based on) out there, the “executive” gtx was most commonly outfitted with a bench seat and column shift. There are not many out the optioned like this and even less, if any (for sale), in this color combination. I won’t list everything that is new or replaced because everything has been from the top down. The vehicle is powered by its completely rebuilt 440ci super commando motor now pulling just shy of 500 horsepower with 4-barrel carburetor through an air grabber hood. It is still numbers matching but now bored 0. 40 over with a slightly oversized cam and all race components underneath. That is linked to a rare, perfect shifting 4-speed transmission with a period correct hurst pistol grip shifter. We just happen to enjoy the pistol grip shifter for driving it in the mean time. The stock rear end is a dana 60 shur-grip with a 3:54. 1 gear ratio. The exterior is a frame-off restoration with every nut, bolt and clamp restored or replaced. It was taken down to bare steel and repaired where needed with same. An immaculate two-tone paint job was applied in the car’s original colors, frost green (which appears silver except in direct sunlight when the faint green appears) and matte black. We do have the white stripe to apply on the rear of the car (for absolute original look) and will apply it for the new owner as part of the deal if wanted as well. Magnums with period correct, brand new firestone bias tires complete with red walls. The interior is all original and done in a rare white. It is just as it rolled of the showroom floor with everything restored or replaced from the headliner down to the carpet. Even the rear ashtrays are intact and like new. The center console, which is typically difficult to get right, is just as it would have been. The car is equipped with all of the working gauges, including the tachometer, in the dash right in front of the driver behind the wood grain steering wheel. It was also factory equipped with an am/8-track player both of which work perfectly. Tachometer
The engine is a fresh chevy 350ci coupled with a 350 automatic transmission and 10 bolt rear end. The engine bay is clean and most everything is like new. A p-5 camaro front clip has been installed up front with large disc brakes and power steering/rebuilt box. Twin electric fans have also been installed to keep the car running cool in even the hottest of conditions. The exterior is done out with a recent beige paint job, period correct wheels/caps and like new radial tires. All of the chrome is in excellent condition and the grill has been painted with red accents that match the wheels/caps. The interior is in fine shape with wood dash, chrome accents and an am/fm/cd stereo installed. This is a rare and very nice early 1949 plymouth that is set up to, and meant to be, driven. It is being offered at only $22,500. 00 or $270. 00 per month with 20% down and approved credit. More pictures coming soon! AM/FM✔ Air Conditioning
I cannot believe we still have this spectacular car. It is being reduced down to $34,900. 00 firm. This is one-third of the build price on a truly one-of-a-kind-car. Wax it all winter and get the trunk ready for trophies next spring. That is the only word to describe the one and only all mopar “black irish rose”. It is powered by an excellent running 340ci engine coupled with a 904 automatic transmission with overdrive and getting to the ground through an 814 rear-end with 342 posi-traction/drum brakes. Engine is all chromed and ready for show. All the wiring is perfectly done by custom street rod wiring. The front suspension is a mustang ii that was put together by buffalo fabrication and coupled with disc brakes. The exterior of the car was done by the infamous ken sweeney and is painted in a deep rose color with slightly lighter ghost flames that are very muted and stunning. The paint and body is totally customized, complete with chopped top, molded fenders, custom running boards, suicide doors (w/poppers), rolled rain gutters and frenched head lights with chrome rings. All of the rest of the chrome is perfect, as well as all of the lights including the original plymouth clipper tail light. Torq thrust wheels and like new michelin radial tires. The lorry safford done interior is absolutely spectacular with custom two-tone leather throughout and the plymouth ship stitched into the seats, door panels and even the trunk. A custom overhead console holds reading lamps and power windows (which are tinted all around). A dakota digital dash holds all of the needed gauges and the unique steering wheel is also a tilt. The “black irish rose” starts, runs and drives perfectly like a mopar always should. The real beauty of this car is the absolute drivability and reliability due to how well it was designed and built. The vehicle is powered by its completely rebuilt 440ci super commando motor pulling 375 horsepower with 4-barrel carburetor through an air grabber hood. That is linked to a rare, perfect shifting 4-speed transmission with a period correct hurst pistol grip shifter. The stock rear end is a dana 60 sure-grip with a 3:54. 1 gear ratio.
